The Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) has announced the installation of new security screening equipment at Accra International Airport as part of efforts to strengthen aviation security and enhance the passenger experience.
In a public notice, GACL said the exercise forms part of ongoing measures to improve airport security operations and align screening processes with international aviation safety and security standards.
The company indicated that the new screening systems are expected to enhance the efficiency of passenger and baggage screening while reinforcing safety at the airport.
GACL has advised passengers and all airport users to cooperate with security personnel during the installation and operational phases, noting that there may be temporary adjustments to screening procedures as the new equipment is integrated.
The company expressed appreciation to the travelling public for their patience and understanding, reaffirming its commitment to providing a safe, secure, and efficient travel experience at Accra International Airport.
