Accra, Ghana – The Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Hon. Samuel Nartey George, has sworn in two new members of the Board of the National Communications Authority (NCA), restoring the Board to its full complement following the passing of two former members.
The newly sworn-in Board members, Alhaji Abdul Rauf Ibrahim Tanko and Professor Agyapomaa Gyeke-Dako, took the Oath of Office and the Oath of Secrecy during a ceremony held at the NCA Tower in Accra, officially assuming their roles on the Board.
Their appointments follow the passing of Mrs. Augustina Odame and Dr. Seth Mahama Sayibu, whose service to the Authority was recognised as the Board was restored to its full membership.
Hon. Samuel Nartey George congratulated the new Board members and encouraged them to discharge their responsibilities with integrity, professionalism, and dedication in supporting the Authority’s mandate to regulate Ghana’s communications sector and advance the country’s digital transformation agenda.
With the induction of the two members, the NCA Board is now fully constituted and poised to continue providing strategic oversight for the Authority.
