The Central Regional Commander of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), Assistant Chief Fire Officer I (ACFO I) Merinder Mary Attigah-Mensah, has paid a courtesy call on the Acting Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast (UCC), Professor Denis Aheto, as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration between the two institutions.

The visit also served as an opportunity for ACFO I Attigah-Mensah to formally introduce herself to the University’s management following her assumption of office as the Central Regional Commander.

Welcoming the Regional Fire Commander and her delegation, Professor Aheto commended the Ghana National Fire Service for its professionalism, dedication and commitment to safeguarding lives and property in the Central Region.

The meeting underscored the importance of continued cooperation between the University of Cape Coast and the Ghana National Fire Service in promoting safety, emergency preparedness and institutional development.
