The Director-General of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT), Mr. Kwesi Alfred Biney, has reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to building a more people-centred social security system that prioritises the needs and expectations of its members and pensioners.

According to Mr. Biney, SSNIT’s management is implementing reforms aimed at improving service delivery, enhancing transparency, and making the institution more responsive to the concerns of contributors, employers, and beneficiaries.

He noted that placing people at the centre of SSNIT’s operations is essential to strengthening public confidence in the country’s pension system. He added that the Trust is focused on delivering efficient, accessible, and reliable services while embracing innovation to improve customer experience.

Mr. Biney also stressed the importance of stakeholder engagement, saying the institution will continue to work closely with contributors, employers, pensioners, and other partners to ensure that its policies and services meet the evolving needs of Ghanaians.

The Director-General reiterated that SSNIT remains committed to its mandate of providing income security for workers in retirement while pursuing initiatives that promote operational excellence and long-term sustainability.

The renewed focus on a people-centred approach forms part of SSNIT’s broader efforts to modernise its operations and strengthen the delivery of social security services across the country.
