Accra, Ghana — Vice President Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has praised the Office of the Registrar of Companies (ORC) for its commitment to improving Ghana’s business environment through initiatives aimed at deepening business formalization and expanding company registration.

The Vice President made the remarks after receiving a delegation from the Office of the Registrar of Companies, who paid a courtesy call to discuss the institution’s ongoing efforts to increase business registration and promote formalization across the country.

Professor Opoku-Agyemang commended the Office for its dedication to making it easier for businesses to operate within the formal sector, describing its work as an important contribution to national economic development.

She encouraged the Office to continue strengthening initiatives that simplify business registration processes and make them more accessible to citizens, particularly entrepreneurs and small business owners seeking to formalize their operations.

The Vice President also urged the institution to enhance public awareness of its activities by consistently communicating its achievements, reforms, and outreach programmes.

According to her, keeping citizens well informed about the Office’s work would strengthen public confidence, encourage greater compliance with business registration requirements, and enable more entrepreneurs to benefit from the services provided by the institution.

The engagement forms part of ongoing efforts to promote an enabling business environment in Ghana through improved access to company registration services and increased public engagement.
